The Polito Language Centre (CLA) offers an array of services for foreign language learning to the entire community of Politecnico, including the possibility to earn internationbally-recognized English language and Italian language certificates.
In particular, at the CLA you can take IELTS Academic (English language) and PLIDA (Italian language).
The CLA also supports teaching staff and Ph.D. candidates helping them with articles, theses and oral presentations in English.

The CLA is located on the Politecnico main campus, along the corridor leading to entrances DISAT 2 and 3 (on the even-numbered classrooms side), in the basement, with access via the staircase opposite study room 3. The disabled access door is near the corso Montevecchio 71 entrance (take the lift to the basement, door at the end of the long corridor; please ring the bell).

English language advisory service - 30 March 2026
The English language advisory service of today Monday 30 March 2026 is cancelled.
Advanced IELTS preparation courses (ASSI and AWSI)
The Advance IELTS preparation courses (ASSI and AWSI) are currently open for booking.
To attend the courses, it is necessary to have a minimum score of 65 in the level test or an IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
CLA Information Desk: Changes to the Service from March 2026
The CLA Information Desk has moved to the Student Careers Unit (corso Castelfidardo, 39 c/o Cittadella Politecnica, first floor) from March 1, 2026 and will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The CLA information service is also available via ticketing system.
The English Language Advisory service will still be available at the CLA - see timetable.
Changes to the CLA Service from January 7, 2026
The book loan service is no longer available at the CLA from January 7, 2026.
Books are available at the Central Engineering Library during its opening times.
