The historic Sports Day is held annually in the courtyards of the University and it is organized in collaboration with CUS Torino, It offers an opportunity to discover the initiatives that Politecnico di Torino dedicates to sports: from the Dual Career Program to the University Sports Teams and student Teams involved in sports. During this day, students will receive detailed information about different initiatives and events, they can meet the Teams and student associations involved in sports. The event is organized in collaboration with the Turin University Sports Center (CUS Torino).
The Rowing Regatta is the renowed rowing challenge between the crews of the two universities in Turin: the Politecnico di Torino and the University of Turin. The celebration begins at the Rettorato of the University of Turin (Via Verdi 8) with the distribution of the “Cheer for Your Team” kit to Italian and international students who have chosen to support their university. The famous parade of the boats takes place along Via Po, and once the boats arrive along the River Po - Murazzi, the race begins. This annual challenge has been held since 1997.
Just the Woman I Am – JTWIA is an event that celebrates sport, culture and wellness to support university research. It is held on the International Women’s Day (March 8th) and organized by the University Sports Center in collaboration with Politecnico di Torino and the University of Turin.
During the JWIA we celebrate sport to promote its educational values, its role in preventing health issues and promoting individual well-being and—above all—its power to bring people together and raise public awareness against gender-based violence.
