Politecnico promotes various initiatives to support the student community, always with an eye to putting people at its centre.
The University has implemented projects to support people with disabilities or Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs)_with the objective of simplifying their training path, a Conselling Service and other projects for people who are experiencing psychological discomfort or suffering discrimination or harassment.
With regard to equal opportunities, which are a key starting condition to guarantee a rewarding and truly formative study experience for everyone, the WeAreHere communication campaign on inclusion was launched to fight gender stereotypes linked to technological-scientific subjects. Politecnico has also implemented a trans and geneder indentity policy to give students the possibility of creating a so-called Alias Career: an alternative identity that replaces personal data with the “elective” name chosen by the person in a gender transition.
