The Teaching and Language Lab (TLlab) is an open academic community that seeks to promote projects and research that make teaching – our first mission – more effective.
Our mission:
- support and innovate the quality of student-centred teaching and training through processes of qualification, growth and valorisation of our teaching community;
- be a hub, a neutral field, an open and welcoming space, where our faculty can discuss and open up to study, discussion, experimentation, planning, evaluation, and to strengthening the teaching action and related processes, tools and resources of the University;
- relate independently and intersubjectively with faculty as well as with the bodies responsible for teaching (Degree Programmes, Collegi and Departments). The Teaching and Language Lab reports to the Vice Rector for Education.
Our goals:
- Keep an open dialogue with Faculty while providing them with adequate support;
- Promote and innovate teaching practices/technologies for students and teachers;
- Suggest activities to improve the quality of teaching as well as of personal skills;
- Support Faculty appraisal and recognize teaching quality;
- Capitalize on the evaluation process of Faculty and its impact;
- Study and develop new teaching models to integrate into our context;
- Contribute to the (re)design of spaces and structures to encourage the active student;
- Strengthen educational research and funded teaching projects;
- Promote and disseminate activities and experiments within the higher education context.
