The CLA organizes foreign language courses for students who have a compulsory foreign language exam in their Personal Study Plan.
Please check the language requirements of your degree programme with the Student Careers Unit.
The Language Centre offers basic language courses for students who have been shortlisted for ERASMUS+ and Extra-UE/NON ERASMUS+ mobility projects.
These courses start as of April; full information about these courses available from late March on this page.
The Language Centre is not an examination board and does not issue certificates of competence in foreign languages.
If you have been selected for an outgoing mobility project, you can:
- request a letter for your host university which states the CEFR level that you scored in the language test. This is possible for the following languages: French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and German;
- request a letter for your host university which specifies that you are currently attending a basic language course. This is possible only if you have chosen to attend a basic language course in your mobility contract. Please note that this letter is not a certificate of attendance.
Please send a ticket to the CLA (Foreign language learning - Other languages) to request the documents specified above.
You can take the language level test in-person at the CLA:
- book an appoinment by sending a ticket (Foreign language learning - Other languages)
- the test is proctored by the CLA staff. You can take the test maximum one time a week.
Test scores obtained outside the time slot you have been assigned to will not be taken into consideration.
