
Politecnico di Torino offers its students a range of services throughout the study path to guarantee the right to education for everyone and to ensure full participation in university life.
The services described in this section mainly target the following groups:
- students with Specific Learning Disorders (SpLD)
- students with disabilities
- students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- students experiencing temporary difficulties due to serious and certified health reasons

The Special Needs Unit is part of the Life Division (Services for the University Community). The Special Needs Unit offers support services for students with SpLD, disabilities, SEN, temporary health problems.

The Unit is coordinated by:

Working with the Unit:
- Student Tutors: they support peers who are experiencing difficulties with individual study, educational activities and administrative paperwork.

Specialised Tutors: they offer the Special Needs Counseling Service thanks to the agreement currently in place between Politecnico and Istituto dei Sordi di Torino.
They also offer a specialist mentoring service for people with specific long-term support needs.
External Collaborations
E.Di.S.U. (Ente regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario del Piemonte) offers a wide range of services (accommodation, meals, study rooms all over the region, scholarships), including special grants for students with duly certified disabilities.
