CUG collaborates with the Confidential Counsellor, an external professional who provides consultancy and support in cases of harassment and discriminatory behavior. They offer free assistance, support, and advice — online and by appointment — to anyone (students, professors, or technical-administrative staff) who has experienced discrimination, harassment, or sexual harassment.

The Confidential Counsellor responds within 2 days of receiving the request, guarantees full confidentiality, and cannot take any action without the explicit consent of the person involved.

The current Confidential Counsellor at Politecnico di Torino is Lawyer Nicoletta Parvis.

To help raise awareness about the role of the Confidential Counsellor, CUG has created the initiative “Ten Questions for the Confidential Counsellor.” In this series, Lawyer Nicoletta Parvis answers ten key questions on topics related to gender-based violence and discrimination.

Donne⁺ in cerchio is a support group for change aimed at female students and PhD candidates, designed as a safe space for listening, discussion and mutual support on issues of gender-based violence and relationships. Why Donne⁺? We use the feminine form as an inclusive generic term. The group is open to women, transgender and/or non-binary people.  

In the group, you will be able to: 

•    share experiences, without judgement and at your own pace; 

•    recognise and value your personal strengths and resources; 

•    look after your wellbeing and develop strategies to cope with stress and anxiety related to relationships; 

•    build relationships of mutual support and combat isolation; 

•    embark on a journey of growth and change alongside others. 

The project stems from the experience of the E.M.M.A. Anti-Violence Centres, with the aim of promoting wellbeing, preventing isolation and strengthening support networks within the university community. 

Where: in a dedicated space at the Politecnico di Torino 

When: from October 2026 to July 2027. Two meetings a month, on Wednesdays, from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm

"The CUG in Podcast" is a project of the Comitato Unico di Garanzia of the Politecnico di Torino, launched in 2022 on Onde Quadre, the official radio of the University. With a monthly schedule, the podcast hosts experts and professionals who discuss socially relevant topics to promote and ensure equal opportunities, sustainability, organizational well-being, and the fight against all forms of discrimination. The goal is to raise community awareness on these issues, fostering cultural transformation and promoting a more inclusive and conscious society.
