You can register for an IELTS session organized by Politecnico if you are:
- a student regularly enrolled at Politecnico
- a staff member.
You CANNOT register if:
- you are NOT a student regularly enrolled at Politecnico
- you are registered in the Apply platform but you do not meet the language requirements for the enrolment at Politecnico
- you are a foreign student enrolled in single courses within the framework of a mobility project
- a hold has been placed on your academic progress (nota bloccante)
- the date of your desired IELTS test is not included in the academic year in which you are currently enrolled
- you are attending a Specializing Master’s programme which ends before your desired IELTS test date
- you are going to graduate in a Graduation period which begins before your desired IELTS test date
- you have already graduated
Remeber that you are resposible for deciding whether to register for an IELTS session or not.
TO DO
- Carefully read the information below and the page To know before registering for the IELTS test
- check the IELTS sessions calendar and plan your IELTS exam considering your academic deadlines
- register for the IELTS session you have chosen.
TO KNOW
- IELTS sessions at Politecnico are organized and delivered exclusively in person
- test dates and mandatory deadlines that must be met are indicated in the IELTS sessions calendar
- registrations close at 12:00 on the date indicated in the calendar
- the dates of the Written tests are fixed
- you cannot choose the exact date and time of your Oral part: the time slot is assigned by the system. During the IELTS registration period the system allows you to indicate if you are unavailable for one or more time slots. You must be available in at least two time slots on Friday and Saturday afternoon and you cannot enter more than six unavailable time slots.
ANNUAL IELTS SESSIONS CALENDAR
IMPORTANT:
- Carefully check the deadline for cancelling your registration from each IELTS session in the event that you register for two subsequent IELTS sessions (double registration). If you have already taken the IELTS test in one session and you are waiting for the results, bear in mind that the results may be published after the deadline for cancelling your registration for the next session
- if you pass the exam in the first IELTS session, you will NOT be refunded for the second session if you forgot to cancel your second registration by the deadlines indicated in the IELTS sessions calendar (see page Do I have to pay?)
- sometimes the results are not published on the exact scheduled date of publication (this happens in case of problems encountered by the Examination Board). For this reason we suggest you do not wait to take the IELTS test until the last available IELTS session if you have other deadlines (graduation sessions, submission of mobility documents, etc.).
WARNINGS
Maximum number of available seats
- There is a limited number of seats for each IELTS session and they can run out BEFORE the registration deadlines
- regularly check the registration procedure - new places may become available if other students cancel their registration before the deadline
- carefully check the deadline dates for each IELTS session in the calendar published at the top of the page
- register for the IELTS test as early as possible.
Are you approaching graduation?
- Check the Student Guide (thematic calendar – Graduation periods) to find out which is the latest IELTS session that allows you to receive your results in good time to register for the Final Examination
- carefully read the section on the maximum number of available seats for each IELTS session
- DO NOT wait until the last IELTS session if you have other deadlines (graduation, submission of mobility documents, etc.).
