Politecnico offers the possibility of completing an entire academic career at its University and welcoming people with previous degrees through a very rich educational offer.
The Laurea (1st degree and Bachelor-level of the Bologna process) is obtained after a learning period that lasts three years, and its purpose is to guarantee the acquisition of methods and scientific general contents as well as specific professional knowledge. The 1st degree and Bachelor-level is obtained after having completed 180 credits.
The Laurea Magistrale (2nd degree and Master of Science-level of the Bologna process) is obtained after a learning period that lasts two years. It is open to students who hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, and is aimed at consolidating and deepening scientific content and specific professional skills. The 2nd degree and Master of Science-level is obtained after having completed 120 credits.

Student Careers Unit
Services
The Student Careers Unit is responsible for managing the academic records of students enrolled in first and second cycle degree programmes. Its main activities include handling Personal Study Plan/Annual Personal Study Plan, organizing graduation exams, managing withdrawal and transfer procedures, and enrolment in master's degree programmes.
The office also deals with general administrative tasks such as issuing degree diplomas and professional qualification certificates, providing smart cards, and issuing certificates for both current students and graduates.
