Living and studying abroad during your university years is the opportunity of a lifetime. You can experience a different university environment, learn about other cultures and meet peers from all over the world enrichening your personal background and giving your CV an international outlook.
Politecnico di Torino supports student exchange programmes and encourages all students to consider studying abroad at least once during their studies.
You can choose among many international programmes, either in Europe or overseas, and select among our partner universities or, in some cases, propose a host institution of your choice. You can attend courses at partner universities or combine course activities together with the development of your final project. Alternatively, you can simply work on your final project alone or do an internship abroad.
One of PoliTO’s flagships is the international Double Degree programme: you can study partly at PoliTo, partly at a partner university and, thanks to mutual recognition of studies, you’ll eventually receive two degrees.
It generally takes place at Master's degree level and the period at the partner university may span from 1 to 2 years depending on the agreement between the institutions.
The most common framework is organised as follows: one full academic year at PoliTO and one full academic year at the partner university, in both cases for course activities, with a final additional semester devoted to the development of the Master thesis, supervised by both universities.
PoliTO supports students with scholarships, in some cases co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme.
