Scholarship Opportunities for Afghan Students at the Politecnico di Torino

The Politecnico di Torino is pleased to announce the establishment of scholarships for Afghan students, thanks to the generous bequest from Mrs. Josephine Teresa Pratt and in honor of her husband, Eng. Silvano Zorzi.

A call for applications for these scholarships will be released shortly, targeting Afghan students enrolled in Master of Science or PhD programmes.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants in favor of foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad (IRE) for the Academic Year 2023-2024 in order to foster international cooperation in cultural, scientific and technological fields, to promote Italian language and culture and to support Italy’s economic system in the world (According to Law 288/55 and its subsequent changes and additions).

Scholarships are available to attend academic courses in Italy only.

Candidates must apply only through the platform “Study in Italy”.

Online applications must be received by 2 p.m. (C.E.T.) of June 9th, 2023.

WARNING: the enrollment to a MS program in Politecnico di Torino is subject to submitting an online application and going through a selection procedure, candidates are therefore strongly advised to check in time the procedure and deadlines to apply

The "Invest Your Talent in Italy - in memory of Giulia Cecchettin" program, promoted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Minsitry of University and Research, Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and Uni-Italia, offers international students the opportunity to develop their skills and specialize through a range of Master of Science and postgraduate programs in Engineering, Advanced Technologies, Architecture, Design, Economics, and Management, with the support of a scholarship and other benefits.

COLFUTURO is a joint public and private sector initiative aimed at facilitating the access of Colombian professionals to further education abroad. Created as a non-profit organization on November 21, 1991, its mission is to contribute to the entrance of Colombia into a world undergoing globalization offering information about international education and supporting students to have a successful study experience overseas.

COLFUTURO Scholarship-Loan Program, reserved to Colombian students, finances the costs of graduate studies around the world up to a maximum of US$25.000 per year and for a maximum two year stay abroad.

In the framework of the agreement signed between the Politecnico di Torino and COLFUTURO, Colombian students have the opportunity to obtain a scholarship-loan to attend Master of Science, Second level Specializing Master, and PhD programs in Engineering and Architecture at the Politecnico.

Projects offered in the past academic years

The Politecnico di Torino has started the program “TOPoliTO: attracting international Top students at the Politecnico di Torino” , in order to recruit high-quality international students for the inclusion in courses of bachelor’s and master’s degree. The presence of a relevant number of international students in the university is a cultural value for the university and an opportunity for the region and its economic system.

The program aims to recruit the best students both at Bachelor and Master of Science level and support them with a 8000€ per year scholarship (gross amount)

In an always more competitive European and global framework (also from the educational point of view), the program wants to strengthen the ability of attracting talented international students, who can gain access to bachelor’s and master’s degree courses of the university and who will profit from the Italian culture and scientific tradition.
