Politecnico for the emergency in the Palestinian Territories

The IUPALS Project (Italian Universities for Palestinian Students), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of University and Research, and the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem, provides approximately 140 scholarships distributed among the participating universities.

CRUI, participating Italian universities, MUR, and MAECI (Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem) have set the objective of awarding scholarships to enable students residing in the Palestinian Territories to study in Italy starting from the academic year 2025/2026.

Project Objectives:

  1. To support Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories in studying at Italian universities by providing specific scholarships for first or second cycle degree courses.
  2. To strengthen cooperation between Italian universities, Palestinian educational institutions, and other local entities (both in Italy and the Palestinian Territories) to promote internationalization and cultural integration processes.

Recipients:

The project targets Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian Territories who are interested in pursuing a complete cycle of university studies (Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, Single Cycle Degree) at an Italian university participating in the Project.

Project Activities:

  • Scholarship Allocation: Scholarships will be awarded starting from the 2025/2026 academic year and will cover an entire study cycle. The renewal of the scholarship for each academic year will be subject to merit and academic performance requirements as outlined in the Call for Applications.
  • Italian Language Courses: All candidates applying for the IUPALS program may take part in a 240-hour Italian language course offered by CRUI. While participation does not affect the selection process, it is strongly recommended. The course will run for five months (June–October 2025) and will be held in Bethlehem and Ramallah at the Terra Sancta Schools. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate detailing the completed program and acquired skills. Lessons will include 24 hours per month of synchronous activities and 24 hours per month of asynchronous activities.

Enrollment in the Italian language courses is open until May 23.
To enroll, please fill out the registration form. For more information and to register, visit the CRUI website.
