Tech Talk Wood @ PoliTo – Unlocking Solutions to the future energy challenges
On November 16th come meet Wood, a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets. During this Tech Talk, different technical projects at various stages of development will be presented related to the new concept of bio-refinery and in particular to the synthesis of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The production of green hydrogen through electrolysis and the subsequent synthesis of green chemical products such as methanol and ammonia will be discussed.
The session will feature insights into patented technologies, i.e. steam reforming and methanation, enabling us to share their expertise in clean hydrogen initiatives, including blue hydrogen production with carbon dioxide capture and storage, and waste to energy projects. Lastly, their pivotal role in the circular economy will be highlighted, by providing examples of chemical plastic recycling initiatives.
The presentations will be given by two young engineers:
Giancarlo Gentile: Principal Process Engineer
Valentina Depetri: Principal Technology Process Engineer
They will also be able to answer any questions regarding their experience at Wood.
