QubiTO Quantum Days – 100 years of quantum mechanics
From 12 to 14 November 2025, the QubiTO Team celebrates 100 years of quantum mechanics with three days of talks, international guests, and an interactive workshop.
"QubiTO Quantum Days" is a three-day event exploring the evolution of quantum science from its theoretical origins to the technologies shaping the second quantum revolution.
The event gathers students, researchers, and enthusiasts to reflect on a century of discoveries and look toward the future of quantum engineering.
Program:
12 November – Room 11T / 6,30 pm – 8,00 pm
Opening session by the QubiTO board, featuring Prof. Matteo Cocuzza (Coordinator of the M.Sc. in Quantum Engineering) and Prof. Bartolomeo Montrucchio (QubiTO Advisor).
Followed by:
Prof. Riccardo Adami: Quantum Mechanics: From Heresy to Dogma in a Hundred Years.
The keynote lecture of the evening, in which Prof. Riccardo Adami (DISMA, Politecnico di Torino) will explore the first century of quantum mechanics, highlighting its most fascinating and unconventional historical and theoretical developments.
13 November – Room 29B / 5,30 pm – 7,00 pm
Prof. Scott Aaronson: The TRUTH about Quantum Computing.
An online talk by Prof. Scott Aaronson (University of Texas at Austin) on the principles and future perspectives of quantum computing.
14 November – Room 29B / 5,30 pm – 7,00 pm
Dr. Emanuele Dri: Quantum Workshop with Lagrange.
A hands-on session with the QubiTO team, featuring live demonstrations and guided simulations on Politecnico's own quantum computer.
