MeshLink – the new student Team at Politecnico di Torino – is a group of students passionate about technology and innovation, who want to push the boundaries of traditional communication.
The goal is to create decentralized, secure, and independent mesh networks using the LoRa protocol and Meshtastic software.

The goal is to create decentralized, secure, and independent mesh networks using the LoRa protocol and Meshtastic software.
MeshLink is working on:
- Developing encrypted mesh networks for long-range communications (our personal record: 220 km in direct connection).
- Expanding the national Meshtastic network by building and installing new nodes in strategic locations.
The current map with all active nodes is available here. - Designing and developing dedicated PCBs for race and rally car tracking.
- Building autonomous solar-powered nodes for mountain trails, useful as emergency totems in areas without cellular coverage.
- Constructing antennas and solar management PCBs to make the nodes even more efficient and independent.
MeshLink is looking for:
- Electronics engineers → PCB design, solar power management, antenna development.
- Computer science & automation → node software development, network protocol optimization, encryption, data management, security.
- Telecommunications engineers → study and optimization of LoRa and mesh networks.
- Energy engineers → autonomous power systems, battery/solar panel management.
- Architects & designers → design and customization of nodes, 3D modeling of protective cases and housings, aesthetic and functional integration of totems in urban and natural environments (the Team has a 3D printer).
- Management engineers → project management, component logistics, cost/benefit analysis, sponsor & partnership management, coordination of emergency protocols, and risk analysis for nodes in critical scenarios.
- Makers & enthusiasts → anyone eager to build, experiment, and innovate.
