DigiTwin Monitoring Team, is a multidisciplinary group of students integrating engineering, computer science, and communication skills to develop structural and environmental monitoring solutions with 3D modeling and innovative digital systems.
The Team aims to transform real-world data into interactive and reliable digital models, useful for predictive maintenance and for improving the safety and sustainability of civil assets.

DigiTwin Monitoring Team PROJECTS

• Project 1 – Structural Monitoring: the project involves monitoring the elevated pedestrian walkway inside the Polytechnic using sensors such as strain gauges and accelerometers. The collected data allow validation of the developed digital models, making them representative of the real structural behaviour.
• Project 2 – Environmental Monitoring: this project focuses on installing sensors in different areas of the Polytechnic to measure temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, and CO₂ concentration. Data analysis on a seasonal basis makes it possible to propose targeted strategies to improve comfort and environmental sustainability.
• Project 3 – 3D Model of a Monitored Bridge: the project involves creating a scaled physical model of a truss bridge, designed based on real loads and integrated with structural sensors. The system is complemented by its digital 3D twin, used both for engineering analysis and for outreach activities and events.
