Students who wish to be admitted to the Programme must meet belong to one of the following categories:
- training programmes in preparation of Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games;
- national teams;
- ranking among the 30 top athletes (individual sport) in the national rankings or youth rankings since the beginning of the academic year;
- “Atleta di Interesse Nazionale” recognized by the National Sports Federation, Associated Sports Disciplines or by a professional League;
- for team sports, athletes who play in the following Divisions: Football (Top Division, First Division, Second Division and Youth League), Basketball (Top Division, First Division, Second Division and Youth League), Volleyball (Top Division and First Division), other sports (Division A1 and A2 or equivalent, to be understood as the first two levels of national championships where otherwise named)
Applicants must be enrolled at Politecnico in the academic year in which they apply for the Programme. They must also meet the requirements listed above when they apply for the Programme. In the event of an injury or other condition that have reduced the sports activity in the previous months (i.e., interruption of participation in championships), Politecnico will consider if the applicant met the above requirements in the year preceding the application.
- Sports that have a National Sports Federation and Associated Sports Disciplines recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) and/or by the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP);
- international competitions (World Championships, Olympics/Paralympics, Universiadi, World University Games);
- group training sessions in preparation for the competitions listed above.
- Commit themselves to irreproachable sports conduct;
- agree to inform the University, in a timely manner, of their participation in competitions or major events (also by e-mail to: staff.sport@polito.it);
- authorize Politecnico di Torino to use their image, totally free of charge, through the publication of photos and/or video footage and for campaigns and/or editorial initiatives concerning the promotion of an academic/sports career. The University undertakes not to use it in a manner potentially detrimental to dignity or reputation;
- undertake to participate in national and international university competitions with clothing and/or accessories depicting the University logo, if allowed by the regulations of the specific sports competition;
- agree to participate in at least 2 annual presentations and orientation initiatives organized by the University;
- undertake to meet the academic performance requirements for remaining in the Programme, under penalty of exclusion from the Programme.
- Applications for admission to the Programme must be submitted from the personal page of the Teaching Portal > "Online Services" TAB > Dual Career application form. The following documents must also be uploaded: documents providing evidence that that the applicant belongs to an eligible student category; sports results; declaration of intention to update the University about future sport results.
- Applicants must be submitted in one of the two possible time frames for a.y. 2024/25:
