Sports Day at Politecnico di Torino
On Tuesday, 6 October 2026 Politecnico di Torino hosts the historic Sports Day, an event organized in collaboration with CUS Torino, celebrating sport as a powerful force to people together and foster a sense of community among students, faculty, and staff. As part of the PoliTO Sporty Campus initiative, which aims to integrate sport into university life as a driver of healthy lifestyles, well-being, and inclusion, the Sports Day activities will take place around the multifunctional sports field located at the Engineering Campus of Politecnico di Torino. Accessible from Via Pier Carlo Boggio, the sports field is located near N and M lecture hall complex (see map). Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a variety of sports corners and try out some of the sporting activities organized in collaboration with CUS Torino.
There will also be dedicated stands hosted by the University’s Student Teams (Policumbent, Squadra Corse, PoliTO Sailing Team, and H2PoliTo). New this year, researchers whose work focuses on sport-related topics will also be present to illustrate their activities.
All first-year undergraduate students will be able to collect a special welcome gift by showing their student card and student ID number: a PoliTO Sporty Campus and CUS Torino branded t- shirt. The new sports field will also be the starting point for the 13th edition of the PoliTour Run, the one-mile race that winds its way through the University’s buildings and outdoor spaces.Sports Day is also an opportunity to learn more about the initiatives that Politecnico di Torino offers to its student-athletes, including the Dual Career Programme and the chance to join the PoliTo Sports Teams in football, rowing, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
