Tech Talk Miroglio Group: PLM in the Fashion Industry
Miroglio Group is an international company founded in Alba in 1947 that operates throughout the women's fashion and retail supply chain.
During this Tech Talk, Emilio D'Alessio, Supply Chain PMO Director, and Claudia Bosio, the Group's Analyst Project Manager and former student at the Polytechnic University of Turin, will illustrate the project to introduce a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) application specifically for the Fashion sector.
PLM makes it possible to manage the entire product lifecycle, starting from collection planning and raw material coding to the creation of the production batch, thus representing the information backbone that brings together creative, technical and economic requirements. Miroglio has set a goal to work faster and more efficiently in response to the advent of the Fast Fashion business model. To capture trends faster and manage several collections simultaneously, teams need to work together faster and better on a single data platform, where all teams involved can gain agility, collaborate faster and better, and respond to market changes. Most importantly, reduce the manual nature of different operations, the different applications in the company today that are not shared.
