STMicroelectronics - Tech Talk "Internet of Everything: Trends and Technologies"
STMicroelectronics, a world leader in providing the semiconductor solutions, will host a Tech Talk that will go beyond the well-known Internet of Things (IoT) to the new frontier of Internet of Everything (IoE), where any object can be fitted with digital features and connected to other objects, people, and processes to generate and exchange data and valuable information and facilitate decision-making. The IoE combines people, processes, and data in a common data-based decision-making system to make smarter decisions for a richer user experience. The key enablers behind this growth story include miniaturized and more intelligent sensing and processing hardware based on silicon technologies, various robust and reliable connectivity protocols, and highly refined signal conditioning and power and energy management.
During the Tech Talk, several vertical IoE application trends and challenges we be highlighted, like Smart Agriculture, Predictive Maintenance and Presence Detection, focusing on new areas of research. Also the latest innovation technologies that are enabling IoE will be explored, including ultra-low power secure MCUs, wireless connectivity, ICs, and protocols, as well as MEMS sensors that are now also capable of embedding Artificial Intelligence. In the end some very interesting demos will be shown!
STMicroelectronics is a world leader in providing the semiconductor solutions that make a positive contribution to people's lives, today and into the future. ST is a leading supplier of many of the key technologies behind next generations devices, including microcontrollers for low and ultra-low power processing, secure solutions, sensors and actuators, connectivity, conditioning and protection, motor control, and power and energy management. Moreover, we allow the development of fast and affordable prototypes with a range of compatible development ecosystems, including hardware and software development tools, evaluation components for vertical applications, and cloud compatibility. ST is well positioned to address these sectors with state-of-the-art technologies and a wide range of products.
