If you have been selected for a PhD position at Politecnico di Torino, you must complete the enrolment process: procedures, deadlines, and requirements for the 42nd PhD cycle are detailed in the Regulations for Enrollment in PhD Programs with administrative seat at Politecnico di Torino.
We urge you to carefully and thoroughly read the aforementioned Regulations now in order to comply with all required procedures and avoid exclusion from the process.
How to enrol
The enrolment procedure consists of two mandatory steps:
Step 1 – Online💻
Access the Apply platform and:
- complete the required declarations (e.g. employment status, enrolment in other study programmes);
- make the required payment.
Step 2 – In person 🏫
Next, you must go to the Career Services Office (formerly the General Secretariat) to:
- verify your identity;
- pick up your smart card.
Enrollment is considered complete only after both steps have been completed.
Conditional enrolment ⚠️
In some cases, enrolment may be conditional, for example if you:
- obtained your degree abroad and after applying;
- obtained your English language certification after applying;
- are a non-EU citizen;
- are currently employed;
- are currently enrolled in another study programme.
In such cases, the procedure can be completed only after the University has conducted the necessary checks and the reservation has been lifted.
Deadlines ⏰
Deadlines vary depending on the admission session and the start date of the PhD programme.
Failure to complete all steps within the deadlines will result in loss of your place.
PhD scholarship 💰
If you have been awarded a scholarship, it will be activated only after:
- completion of the enrolment procedure;
- verification of all requirements;
- any required approvals.
Deferred start 🔄
In exceptional and duly documented cases, it is possible to request a postponement of the start date of the doctoral program, subject to the University’s review of the request.
