In 1999 Politecnico di Torino was the first Italian University to establish the Doctoral School, a specific body that manages and runs all activities related to PhD programmes.
The Doctoral School supports students during their academic and research training at Politecnico: it enhances cooperation with foreign universities, it promotes exchanges of knowledge and competencies, it establishes relationships with companies that play a key role in the productive system and it fosters interactions and collaborations with a variety of external institutions.
Politecnico has decided to make substantial investments to fund PhD programmes, which are deemed strategic in the University agenda and education offer. Among the actions taken to reward merit and talent, our University has substantially increased the number and amount of PhD scholarships.
