Applicants are required to submit their application for admission online on the Apply@polito platform.
All applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee (€ 30,00) for each application submitted (one application per each PhD programme).
After submitting the application, no changes are allowed. It will not be possible to upload any other document. For this reason, applicants admitted with condition for not having earned thier Master's degree yet will be evaluated on the basis of their grade point average of the exams.
Applications are open to Italian and foreign citizens who meet the following requirements by the deadline of each session of the call :
- Master’s degree with the minimum grades of 95/110 or another second-level academic qualification earned abroad and recognized as valid for the admission to the PhD programme;
- a certificate proving their knowledge of the English language: IELTS minimum score 5.0 or one of the language certificates listed in the table.
Applicants who still do not have the required academic qualification or the English language certificate on the deadlines are allowed to apply as long as they get their degree or their certificate by:
- 31st October 2023: for participation in the selection process of the first and second session
- 31st December 2023: for participation in the selection process of the third session
For the degree, applicants must have an average grade of their Master’s exams (GPA) greater than 25/30. In any case they must graduate with a minimum final grade of 95/110.
For Ph.D. programmes offered in apprenticeship format, applicants must be aged less than 30 at the moment of employment. Applicants interested in this kind of programme must select “apprenticeship programme” when they fill out their application. Selected applicants are admitted to the programme without any scholarship and they are hired by the company with an apprenticeship contract having the same duration of the PhD programme.
A specific call for applications (39th Cycle) will be published for the national Ph.D. programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Materials, Sustainable Processes and Systems for the Energy Transition.
