Have you already been nominated by your Home University? If yes, click here to start with Step #1!
If your Home University has already nominated you through the Nomination@polito tool for a mobility period at Politecnico di Torino, the Student Careers Unit – Erasmus Italiano will send you the instructions to register on the Apply@polito platform (#Step 1). You will get this message into the mailbox used by your University during the Nomination process (if you have been nominated and you can’t find the e-mail, please check the spam folder as well).
Do not fill out the application form if you have not been nominated!
The application procedure is available twice a year, depending on the starting semester of your mobility:
- Mobility starting in the first semester (September/October): opening in June
- Mobility starting in the second semester (February/March): opening in November
Follow the instructions: send the registration form and you will receive your username and password by email. After submitting your application form, you will receive an e-mail confirming that it has been correctly submitted (if you do not receive it, contact the Student Careers Unit – Erasmus Italiano ). Subsequently, your application form will be evaluated by the Mobility Board.
During the evaluation period you might be contacted and asked to add/modify the data provided. These messages will be sent through the ‘Evaluations’ section of your Apply@polito page. Make sure you check it regularly. Any updates on the evaluation of your application will be notified to you by e-mail.

BEFORE THE MOBILITY
After being selected through the Erasmus Italiano mobility call and accepting the place, you will need to complete several procedures to define the courses you will take and prepare for departure.
STEP #1: SIGNING THE MOBILITY CONTRACT
The mobility contract is essential to formalise your participation in the program and to receive the financial contribution, if applicable.
- It must be signed before departure, only after your mobility has been officially accepted and recorded in your student career.
- The contract includes your personal details, host university, mobility period, and the grant amount (if applicable).
- Signing is binding: without it, you cannot start the mobility or receive the financial contribution.
- Read all clauses carefully, especially those concerning:
- obligations during mobility (course attendance and compliance with host university rules);
- credit recognition procedures upon return;
- conditions for suspension or withdrawal of the grant.
STEP #2: DEFINING THE LEARNING AGREEMENT (LA)
- 20 CFU per mobilità finalizzata alla frequenza di corsi;
- Approvazione del Learning Agreement da parte del Referente Accademico;
- Verifica della fattibilità della proposta da parte dell’università ospitante
The Learning Agreement specifies the academic activities you will carry out at the host university and their correspondence with courses and activities included in your study plan.
Your study plan/course load must be therefore correctly completed, including the courses to be taken during the mobility. If necessary, you may adjust your study plan/ Annual personal study plan on the basis of the courses included in the LA.
The LA must be agreed upon with your academic coordinator and approved by the host university. This step is fundamental to ensure that the credits earned by passing exams during the mobility are recognized by Politecnico di Torino.
It must include academic activities, including preparation of the Master’s thesis, if applicable.
Minimum credits required:
- 20 CFU for mobility aimed at attending courses;
- for Thesis mobility, the number of credits depends on your study program.
You may choose courses offered by the host university that are relevant to your study program, as indicated in the reference call.
Procedure:
- Submit the LA proposal to your academic coordinator
- Obtain approval from your academic coordinator
- The host university verifies the feasibility of the proposal
STEP #3: START OF MOBILITY AND ARRIVAL AT THE PARTNER UNIVERSITY
Upon arrival, you must report to the host university’s offices for registration and to officially begin your mobility. This procedure must also be repeated at the end of the mobility period.
During your stay, you are required to comply with the rules and regulations of the host university.
AFTER THE MOBILITY
At the end of the mobility, the host university will send Politecnico di Torino the details of the courses completed and credits earned, so they can be recognized in your academic career. If your program includes writing the thesis at the host university, you must follow Politecnico’s procedures and deadlines to be admitted to the final exam.
