The Smart Card is the personal card issued by the Polytechnic University of Turin that allows student identification and access to the University’s main services.
The Smart Card allows students to:
- certify their affiliation with the Polytechnic University of Turin;
- access libraries, laboratories, study rooms, and other authorized facilities;
- use library loan services;
- activate the GTT public transport subscription.
The Smart Card can be collected after completing enrollment at the Student Careers Unit (Ufficio Carriere), Corso Castelfidardo 39 – 1st floor, during opening hours.
Students who still need to complete enrollment, and who see the status “Enrollment to be completed” on their personal page, may go to the Student Careers Unit during opening times for identity verification and validation of personal data. On that occasion, they may also collect the Smart Card.
Collection of the Smart Card cannot be delegated.
The Smart Card is strictly personal and must be kept with care. In case of loss or damage, a replacement can be requested at the Student Careers Office by paying the fee set out in the Student Contribution Regulations.
If a police theft report is presented, no charge will be applied for the replacement card.
