Those who intend to apply for an internal transfer to a Master's degree course in the Area of Architecture must, in compliance with the deadlines and the Access Rules, submit their educational background to a review through the Apply procedure through their personal page of the Teaching Portal, for the purposes of eligibility, recognition of credits acquired and definition of the study plan.
It is possible to select only one Master's degree course for which to apply for evaluation.
All information on the internal transfer procedure is published in the "Transfers" chapter of the Student guide a.y. 2024/25 of the Master's degree programme in which you intend to continue your studies.
Students with a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree
The Academic Advisor of the Master's degree programme you are interested in will have to check your Bachelor's degree.
Only if approved, the Academic Advisor will recognize your previously earned credits.
If you have a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree programme and you are interested in applying for an internal transfer to an italian-taught Master's degree programme, you need to have the required Italian language certificate.
If you are enrolled in a Master’s degree programme at another Italian University and you intend to transfer to a Master’s degree programme offered by Politecnico di Torino, you must submit your previous academic records for an evaluation from the Apply@polito platform. Make sure you meet the deadlines and the Admission requirements. This evaluation is useful to determine your eligibility for admission, your study plan and a possible recognition of your previous credits.
You are required to pay a fee (Euro 100.00). This amount will be deducted from your tuition fees if you enrol in the same academic year for which you applied. This fee will not be refunded.
We remind you that you must earn at least 50 credits at Politecnico in order to attain your Master’s degree.
Exclusively the students who - following the verification of their Bachelor's degree - meet the admission requirements to the Master's degree program (check the Admission requirements) will be able to proceed with the transfer request at the university of origin.
More information on how to request a transfer is available in the Student Guide 2024/2025.
PLEASE NOTE: you must consider whether to start the transfer procedure (congedo) at your university of origin or not. This is suggested in case you have already passed some exams for which you intend to request the recognition from Politecnico di Torino. Otherwise, if you have not taken any exams yet, or if you have taken just a few exams, we suggest that you take into consideration the possibility to withdraw from your current university (rinuncia agli studi) rather than start the transfer procedure. This would allow you to start a brand new academic path at Politecnico di Torino.
To enrol in a Master’s degree programme at Politecnico di Torino and obtain the recognition of your previously earned credits (credit transfer), you need to have one of the following degrees:
- Master’s degree - Laurea Magistrale D.M. 270/04
- Laurea Specialistica D.M. 509/99
- Five-year degree - Laurea quinquennale prior to D.M. 509/99.
If you have one of the above mentioned degrees, you are required to submit your previous academic records for an evaluation from the Apply@polito platform, in compliance with the deadlines and the Admission requirements. This evaluation is useful to determine your eligibility for admission, your study plan and a possible recognition of your previous credits.
It is possible to request a credit transfer through Apply@polito platform also if you have withdrawn or forfeited from your previuos academic path.
We remind you that, in case of admission, you must earn at least 50 credits at Politecnico (on top of the thesis credits) in order to attain your Master’s degree.
You must pay a fixed fee (€ 100,00) for the evaluation of you previous academic records. This amount will be deducted from you tuition fees if you decide to enrol at Politecnico in the same academic year for which you applied for admission; otherwise, it will not be refunded.
