Below you can find detailed instructions for filling in the sections of the Apply@polito platform.
In this section you have to choose the Master’s degree programme/s you want to apply for. You can apply for a maximum of 2 Master’s degree programmes.
-
- for programmes of the Architecture area: if you apply for 2 programmes and you are eligible for admission to both programmes, you MUST enrol in the programme chosen as your first choice;
- for programmes of the Engineering area If you apply for a Master’s degree programme taught both in English and in Italian, it won’t be counted as 2 programmes, but as a single choice.e.g. Ingegneria Meccanica + Mechanical Engineering = 1 choice). If you apply for 2 programmes and you are eligible for admission to both programmes,you are free to decide which programme you want to enrol in (regardless of the order of preference originally indicated).
We remind you that you will NOT be able to modify your choices after submitting your application.
In this section you are required to provide information on your previous academic studies (university of origin), in particular:
- the denomination of your Bachelor’s degree programme and degree classification. If you have already earned your Bachelor’s degree, please enter the date of degree conferral and final grade;
- each course or learning activity included in your Personal Study Plan (including incomplete courses), with its Scientific Disciplinary Field (SSD), number of credits, exam date and grade (if already passed) for a minimum of 180 CFU:
- For each exam that you have passed you need to provide the Scientific Disciplinary Field (SSD), the number of credits, the date of the exam and the grade;
- Pass-or-fail exams (registered without a grade on a scale of 30) might not have a Scientific Disciplinary Field (SSD). In this case please select ***N/A*** (not available);
- If a course has more than one Scientific Disciplinary Field (SSD), you need to enter it as many times as the number of its SSD. Each time you need to repeat the denomination of the course, the grade and the number of credits associated to the specific SSD;
- Incomplete exams at the time of application submission: if you pass some exams after the submission of your application, you must add them (providing grade, exam date and number of credits).
IMPORTANT: If you do not enter a total of 180 CFU in this section, you will not be able to continue. |
If you want to transfer to a Master’s degree programme, you also need to provide the details of the Master’s exams that you have already taken at your current university.
You can modify these data (EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND) until the registration of your Bachelor's degree (date of conferral and final grade). After registration (“Degree awarded”), if you wish to modify your data, you need to send a ticket through the Ticketing Support System (“FAQ/Ticket” section).
IMPORTANT: You do not need to upload the course syllabi to the ATTACHMENTS section if you are not transferring from another university. Do not select the "credit recognition" option in the Educational background section. In fact, your Bachelor's credits are assessed only to verify if you meet the curricular requirement for admission to Politecnico (evaluation of the Scientific Disciplinary Fields). |
In this section, you need to enter the details of your English language certificate.
You can submit your application even if you do not have a language certificate yet, but you need to get it and upload a scanned copy of your certificate before the enrolment deadline.
You need to follow the guided procedure and select the certificate you want to present for admission to Politecnico from a drop-down list. You need to fill in the following fields:
Language: English;
Family: select the certificate type (IELTS, CAMBRIDGE, TOEFL, etc.);
Certificate: select the CEFR level;
Date of certificate: date of certificate conferral.
IELTS Verification

You can find the TRF Number on the certificate, or in the email containing the publication of the results.

If you have a Cambridge certificate, you need to log in to your Cambridge personal page and select the option that allows Cambridge to share your results with Politecnico di Torino (follow the instructions available at https://support.cambridgeenglish.org/hc/en- gb/articles/360021664771- Sending-your-results-to-a-recognising- organisation). Enter the Candidate's ID number – or – if this is not possible – upload the certificate or Statement of results.

If you haven’t indicated the code of Politecnico, you need to upload a scanned copy of the certificate for verification purposes.
If you have a different English certificate or an exemption (included in the list of accepted certificates published on the CLA website), you must upload a scanned copy of your certificate.
Politecnico reserves itself the right to sample check at least 5% of the applicants who will be required to present their original certificate. The University will check the certificate’s authenticity with the Examination Boards.
Considering that it usually takes a long time to receive the original certificate, we recommend you get your language certificate in good time to meet our deadlines.
We remind you that any English language exam (graded or ungraded) that you have passed while you were enrolled at another university IS NOT accepted by Politecnico in substitution for the required English language certificate.
Please note: you do not need to fill in this section if you are applying to the Master’s degree programme in Landscape Architecture.
