General admission requirements and deadlines

To access the Master's degree programmes you must have:
- bachelor’s degree or three-year university diploma, or other recognized foreign qualification;
- suitable academic performance;
- curricular requirements;
- language requirements: English level B2.
Apply@polito is the online application platform of Politecnico di Torino. Apply@polito is where you submit your application (educational background, language certificates, other experience...) for enrolment in any degree programme offered by our University.
You can submit your application even if you haven’t earned your Bachelor’s degree yet, but you need to have earned at least 140 credits at Bachelor’s level on the date of application submission by July 2025.
It will be possible to apply for a maximum of two Master's degree programmes by selecting them in order of priority since, in the event of eligibility for both, enrolment will only be allowed for the Master's degree programme indicated as the first choice.
The time frame for the submission of applications is available in the deadlines section.
PROCEDURE
To enrol online, you must:
- have obtained a Bachelor's degree;
- For students from Politecnico di Torino: registration is automatic following graduation (career status: LAUREATO);
- For students from other universities: you must enter the date and grade of your degree in the STUDIES ACCOMPLISHED section by 30th September 2025 (for Master's degree courses in Urban and Territorial Planning, Digital skills for sustainable societal transitions and Landscape Architecture by 31st October 2025);
- access the Apply@polito platform;
- click on "Proceed with enrolment in this course" in the "Evaluations" section;
- confirm the data previously entered in the Apply@polito procedure;
- Students from other universities only: make a payment of € 100.00 (please refer to the Tuition Fee Regulations for the academic year 2025/26). This amount will be deducted from the contribution in the event of subsequent enrolment.
Payment can be made in the following ways:
- credit cards (or other forms of payment provided by the PagoPA platform), which give rise to immediate payment
- pre-printed payment notices (MAV on the PagoPA platform), which give rise to a deferred payment. The deferred payment is valid only on condition that, after having made the payment, one re-enters the Apply@polito platform, indicating in the space provided the date on which the payment was made (self-certification in accordance with articles 46 and 47 of Presidential Decree no. 445/2000)
Both the payment and the self-certification must be made within the deadline. In the event of a false or incorrect self-certification, the enrolment will be cancelled and the student will lose any right to enrolment for the 2025/2026 academic year.
At the same time as the payment procedure is completed, the matriculation summary page will display the matriculation number assigned and the credentials for accessing the personal page.
ENROLMENT TO BE COMPLETED
Students from other Universities: the system will display the following warning "Immatricolazione da completare" (enrolment to be completed).
Enrolment is completed with the recognition and verification of personal data, under penalty of definitive exclusion from the enrolment procedure. The deadline for completing enrolment fot the first semester is:
- 18/12/2025 for students enrolling in the first semester
- 9/04/2026 for students enrolling in the second semester
The recognition and verification of personal data takes place at the Office of the University Registrar and Tuition Fees. Please book an in-person appointment during opening hours with the identity document declared during registration on the Apply@polito platform. At the same time it will be possible to pick up the smart card.
Until the end of the full completion of the process, you will have limited access to the University services available through the personal page of the Teaching Portal (for example, you will not be able to request enrolment certificates, will not be able to book exams, etc.).
After recognition, the indication ‘Registration to be completed’, which was present on the personal page until then, will be removed.

If you do not meet the curricular requirements when you apply for admission to a Master's degree programme, you will have to enrol in single courses to make up for your unfulfilled academic requirements before you can actually enrol in a Master's degree programme.
You can include up to a maximum of 60 credits in your Annual Personal Study Plan.
You will be able to enrol in the Master’s degree programme you have been admitted to AFTER you pass all the exams suggested by the Teaching Committee to make up for your unfulfilled academic requirements and AFTER you receive a positive evaluation of your portfolio (you will have to apply again in the next academic year).
The deadline for single course enrolment is 23rd February 2026. If you are going to get your Bachelor’s degree by September 2024, we strongly recommend that you enrol in single courses before the end of September so you will be able to access all services starting from the beginning of classes.
This type of enrolment cannot include any courses belonging to a Master’s degree programme, as it is intended for the remedial of Bachelor’s incomplete courses for admission to a Master’s degree programme.
When all grades of your single courses are registered in your transcript, you need to contact the Office of Student Services using the Ticketing Service. The Office of Student Services will close your position as “student enrolled in single courses” and you will be able to enrol in your Master’s degree programme.
PLEASE NOTE: If you were denied admission to a Master’s degree programme due to your unfulfilled academic requirements but you failed to enrol in single courses to make up for your Bachelor’s incomplete courses, you will NOT be allowed to enrol in single courses for competition, refresher and professional training choosing the same courses of the Master's degree programme for which you have applied.

After enrolling, students must define thier Personal Study Plan and create their Annual Personal Study Plan. For procedures and details, read the specific chapter of the Student Guide of your Master's degree programme.
The compilation of the Personal Study Plan/ Annual Personal Study Plan must be completed by 10 days of the date of enrolment (see the deadlines section).
Those who intend to apply for an internal transfer to a Master's degree course in the Area of Architecture must, in compliance with the deadlines and the Access Rules, submit their educational background to a review through the Apply@polito procedure through their personal page of the Teaching Portal, for the purposes of eligibility, recognition of credits acquired and definition of the study plan.
It is possible to select only one Master's degree course for which to apply for evaluation.
All information on the internal transfer procedure is published in the "Transfers" chapter of the Student guide a.y. 2025/26 of the Master's degree programme in which you intend to continue your studies.
Students with a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree
The Academic Advisor of the Master's degree programme you are interested in will have to check your Bachelor's degree.
Only if approved, the Academic Advisor will recognize your previously earned credits.
If you have a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree programme and you are interested in applying for an internal transfer to an italian-taught Master's degree programme, you need to have the required Italian language certificate.
If you are enrolled in a Master’s degree programme at another Italian University and you intend to transfer to a Master’s degree programme offered by Politecnico di Torino, you must submit your previous academic records for an evaluation from the Apply@polito platform.
This evaluation is useful to determine your eligibility for admission, your study plan and a possible recognition of your previous credits.
You are required to pay a fee (Euro 100.00). This amount will be deducted from your tuition fees if you enrol in the same academic year for which you applied. This fee will not be refunded.
We remind you that you must earn at least 50 credits at Politecnico (on top of the thesis credits) in order to attain your Master’s degree.
Exclusively the students who - following the verification of their Bachelor's degree - meet the admission requirements to the Master's degree program (check the Admission requirements) will be able to proceed with the transfer request at the university of origin.
More information on how to request a transfer is available in the Student Guide 2025/2026.
We remind you that any English language exam (graded or ungraded) that you have passed while you were enrolled at another university IS NOT accepted by Politecnico in substitution for English certificate level B2 required.
PLEASE NOTE: you must consider whether to start the transfer procedure (congedo) at your university of origin or not. This is suggested in case you have already passed some exams for which you intend to request the recognition from Politecnico di Torino. Otherwise, if you have not taken any exams yet, or if you have taken just a few exams, we suggest that you take into consideration the possibility to withdraw from your current university (rinuncia agli studi) rather than start the transfer procedure. This would allow you to start a brand new academic path at Politecnico di Torino.
To enrol in a Master’s degree programme at Politecnico di Torino and obtain the recognition of your previously earned credits (credit transfer), you need to have one of the following degrees:
- Master’s degree - Laurea Magistrale D.M. 270/04
- Laurea Specialistica D.M. 509/99
- Five-year degree - Laurea quinquennale prior to D.M. 509/99.
If you have one of the above mentioned degrees, you are required to submit your previous academic records for an evaluation from the Apply@polito platform, in compliance with the deadlines and the Admission requirements. This evaluation is useful to determine your eligibility for admission, your study plan and a possible recognition of your previous credits.
It is possible to request a credit transfer through Apply@polito platform also if you have withdrawn or forfeited from your previuos academic path.
We remind you that, in case of admission, you must earn at least 50 credits at Politecnico (on top of the thesis credits) in order to attain your Master’s degree.
ou will be able to enrol in the programme after you receive the outcome of the evaluation which will be available on the Apply@polito platform under the Evaluations section.
You must pay a fixed fee (€ 100,00) for the evaluation of you previous academic records. This amount will be deducted from you tuition fees if you decide to enrol at Politecnico in the same academic year for which you applied for admission; otherwise, it will not be refunded.
