LEARNING CONTENTS PRESENTATION

The course provides an introduction about drilling and completion operations and engineering activities.

It also includes detailed information about Research and Technological Innovation activities and related processes, a dedicated focus on Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) and digital transformation activities.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

Aim of the course is to provide the students with basic knowledge about the activities covered by the Drilling and Completion discipline, in order to prepare them for the following courses in which these topics will be deepened down with more focus and details.

-       Introduction to drilling engineering

-       Introduction to drilling operations

-       Introduction to drilling rigs

-       Introduction to completion

-       R&D for drilling activities

-       R&D for CCS

-       Digital transformation for drilling and completion activities

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The course is composed of theoretical lessons and includes presentations about research projects with details about the technical needs and identified solutions.
