LEARNING CONTENTS PRESENTATION
The course deals with conventional well test interpretation methods, unconventional well testing, and well testing applications to fluid storage and reservoir monitoring. Digital Technologies for reservoir and well monitoring, analysis and management are also explored. Eventually, advanced techniques and methodologies for gas reservoirs and oil recovery enhancement are presented.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
The course aims to provide the student with the ability to exploit and interpret conventional and unconventional well tests in any possible scenario, from oil and gas reservoirs to storages, with and without the support of digital technologies for advanced applications and monitoring. Skills to apply Enhanced Oil Recovery Processes are also expected.
PROGRAMME
- eni digital approach;
- Equations to describe fluid flow in gas and oil reservoirs;
- Introduction to the pressure derivatives method;

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
The course is delivered through live lectures with the support of slides. After presenting the theoretical background, real case examples and practical exercises are proposed. Students are asked to solve them and discuss their results with the Teacher. Lectures are delivered both by Polito and Eni personnel.
