MULTIPURPOSE LIFECYCLE WELL ARCHITECTURE

6 CFU (60 hours)

Teachers: prof Lorenzo Corti, Carmen Repetto, Gianluca Allegretti, Marco Colombo, Roberto Cherri, Antonio Sacchini.

LEARNING CONTENTS PRESENTATION

This course shows the steps – from engineering to final construction - to design and complete a well, in order to develop an architecture that have to last for the entire production/injection life: equipment selections, fatigue and stress analysis, work-over operations, well performance and testing, stimulation and shut off will be part of this course.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

Aim of the course is to provide the students with basic knowledge about the workflow and rules to be followed to carry out the basic completion design, including well performance analysis, well testing, work over operation and production optimization technology. At the end of the course the students will be able to understand the main principles and activities performed in completion and production optimization department.

PROGRAMME

The main subjects of this course are:

-       Completion Engineering

-       Well Testing

-       Well Performance

-       Work-over

-       Production Optimization

-       Matrix Stimulation

TEACHING METHODOLOGY

The course is composed mainly of theoretical lessons, with few simple practical exercises, with the aim to strengthen the comprehension of the theory presented in the lessons.
