Below are the rules for enrolling in the Master's Degree Course in Systemic design for those coming from other Universities.
To those who have earned a Bachelor's degree other than Politecnico di Torino, is required to have a weighted average grade of all the exams(1) equal to or greater than 24/30, regardless of how long it took you to earn your Bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, it is necessary to pass the admission test.
The result of the admission test will be published on your personal page of the Apply@polito platform.
(he weighted average grade (1) is calculated on all accrued course credits (graded on a scale of 30) counting towards the achievement of the Bachelor’s degree. Please note that numbers are not rounded.
A specifically-appointed Committee will verify if you meet the curricular requirements for admission through the Apply@polito portal.
The curricular requirements for admission are:
a three-year Bachelor's degree or university diploma, first level Academic diploma recognized by the MUR (AFAM) or other educational qualification obtained outside Italy and recognised suitable for admission in accordance with article 6 c. 2 of D.M. 270/04, the skills and competences you acquired during your Bachelor’s degree programme (in terms of credits related to specific Scientific Disciplinary Fields), referring to specific scientific-disciplinary sectors or groups of them.
The applicant must have acquired a minimum of credits as specified in the table:
Master's degree programme | Field of activity | Scientific Disciplinary Sectors |
---|---|---|
SYSTEMIC DESIGN | 1st GROUP (minimum 40 CFU) | ICAR/12, ICAR/13, ICAR/17, ICAR/18, CHIM/07, ICAR/08, ING-IND/11, ING-IND/22 |
2nd GROUP (minimum 60 CFU) | BIO/07, BIO/08, ICAR/13, ICAR/14, ICAR/16, ICAR/17, ICAR/18, ICAR/22, ING-IND/15, ING-IND/16, ING-IND/21, ING-IND/22, ING-INF/03, ING-INF/04, ING-INF/05, L-ART/02, L-ART/03, L - ART/06, MAT/05, MED/42, M-FIL/02, M-PSI/01 |
Educational credits from the scientific-disciplinary fields, which are in both the first group and the second group, are counted in priority to fulfill the requirement of the first group. The remaining credits are counted toward meeting the requirement of the second group. Credits from one teaching can then be counted toward meeting the minimum number of credits from both groups.
Within the limit of 10 cfu, those who have the role of Course of Study Coordinator may consider the curricular requirement fulfilled with the indication of any constrained teaching; if the number of missing credits is more than 10 cfu, the evaluation will be submitted to the final approval of those who have the role of Coordinator or Vice Coordinator of the Collegio di Design.
Any curricular integrations identified by the evaluator must be filled prior to enrollment in the Master's degree program.
In order to fill the curricular integration, in the event that it is less than or equal to 60 credits, enrollment in the Single course enrolment for unfulfilled curricular requirements for Master's Admissions courses must be made and then attend the courses and take the related exams: this enrollment may include in the teaching load only the courses assigned by the evaluator as a formative deficiency.
Passing the admission test will allow, exclusively for those who have to fill the curricular integration, access also to the academic year following the one for which the admission test was taken (in any case after taking the exams related to the curricular integration).

As soon as the English language certificate is obtained, it will be possible to register for the Master's degree by 24th February 2025, with automatic validation of the courses attended/passed. Courses in the 1st semester that were not included at the time of enrolment may not be integrated at a later date.

Applicants with specific learning disability can request adequate support writing a ticket to the staff of the Special Needs Unit that deals with support services to students (https://www.polito.it/ateneo/parita-welfare-e-inclusione/special-needs).
If the Evaluation Committee finds that an applicant has to make up for some unfilled academic requirements and he/she passes the admission test, the test result will be valid until the following academic year.
All those who have obtained eligibility, whose need for curricular integration has not been identified, and who do not proceed with enrolment or with the advancement of the Master's degree courses in the academic year for which they have applied, will have to re-apply through the Apply procedure and take the admission test again for access in subsequent academic years.
