For admission to out Bachelor's degree programmes you need:
1) a secondary high school diploma (level 4 EQF) earned after at least 12 years of school attendance
For applicants with a secondary school diploma awarded after less than 12 years of school attendance:
- secondary high school diploma awarded after 11 years of school attendance + all first-year university exams completed with a passing grade
or
- secondary high school diploma awarded after 10 years of school attendance + all first and second-year university exams completed with a passing grade
or
- secondary high school diploma awarded after 10 or 11 years of school attendance + a post secondary qualification awarded by a non-university institution in a field of study related to the Bachelor's degree programme chosen by the applicant
or
- secondary high school diploma awarded after 10 or 11 years of school attendance + passing preparatory courses (Foundation Course) at an Italian university. Foundation courses may also be accepted if issued by a foreign higher education institution recognized and/or accredited in the reference foreign system and, at the same time, proven to be official qualifications. Politecnico di Torino evaluates the Foundation Course certificate and decides on its eligibility for admission.
Applicants who have the following qualifications can enrol at Politecnico:
- U.S. secondary high school diploma with at least 3 Advanced Placement courses (APs) passed with a grade between 3 and 5 in three different subjects related to the Bachelor’s degree programme chosen by the applicant (for further details see the Annexes of the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS)
or
- U.K. secondary high school diploma (GCE or IGCE) with at least 3 A-levels passed in three different subjects related to the Bachelor’s degree programme chosen by the applicant (for further details see the Annexes of the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS)
or
- Scottish secondary high school diploma with at least 3 Advanced Highers, or, alternatively, 2 Advanced Highers + at least 4 Highers in three different subjects related to the Bachelor’s degree programme chosen by the applicant (for further details see the Annexes of the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS)
or
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with the requirements listed in the Annexes of the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
2) For Countries where an admission test to university is compulsory, applicants must upload a certificate attesting that the admission test has been passed (for ex: YKS, Concurso Vestibular, Gao Kao - minimum score 400 for Marco Polo students, Pruebas de Selectividad, Veveosi Prosvasis, ecc).
3) Language certificate required by the degree programme chosen by the applicant (see language requirements paragraph)
4) Passing the TIL admission test or submitting an international certificate - SAT-GRE-GMAT - which can exempt the applicant from taking the TIL test - NOT VALID for Architecture. Specific requirements can be found in the CALL FOR APPLICATIONS.

ENROLMENT STEPS
Enrolment process can be started only by students who have uploaded the language certificate required for the Bachelor programme they have been assigned to.
- PLACE RESERVATION
Language certificate must be uploaded in the Apply page within deadlines for student place reservation fixed by the specific Call for admission in Art. 14 and 13 for Architecture (Enrolment requirements and process). Failure to meet these deadlines entails permanent exclusion from the enrolment process.
- ON-LINE ENROLLMENT
Deadline to complete ON-LINE ENROLLMENT: Friday 27th September 2024 at 2.00 p.m.
- UPLOADING COMPULSORY ENROLMENT DOCUMENTS
Students who meet language requirements and who have got their student ID number, will have to upload the following documents in their Teaching Portal/Online Services/Attachments, as specified in the Enrolment Regulations for Bachelor’s Degree Programmes – A.Y. 2024/25 (art. 9,10) within 27th September 2024. The documents will be checked before 11th November 2024.
WARNING: the deadline to upload study visa type D is 29th November 2024.

The so called “Attestato di Corrispondenza” (Certificate of Correspondence) obtained on the ARDI platform substitutes the Statement of Comparability issued by CIMEA. In any case, please note that the correspondence provided by ARDI is based on a standard foreign qualification system and not on specific cases. For this reason, Politecnico reserves itself the right to ask the applicant additional documents for the verification of his/her non-Italian qualification (e.g. Statement of Verification issued by Cimea) therefore Statement of Verification issued by Cimea is strongly recommended to streamline the evaluation procedures |

The above-mentioned documents (official certificates and post-secondary diplomas) do not need to be translated into Italian if they are issued in English, French or Spanish.
Politecnico di Torino is entitled to request students to show their original documents to the office front desk at any time.
DOCUMENTS TRANSLATION AND LEGALIZATION
The translation into Italian, whether it’s required, must be "official”: this means that it has to be certified by the Italian Embassy in your country or it must be “sworn” by an Italian Tribunal.

PRE ENROLMENT
Non-EU applicants living outside Italy and applying for a visa must submit the pre-enrolment application for the STUDY VISA/UNIVERSITY ENROLLMENT exclusively through the UNIVERSITALY portal. Check here to see if you fall into this category.
HOW TO APPLY FOR PRE-ENROLLMENT
Register at Universitaly portal following the instructions below:
- enter your personal information exactly as in your passport. In case you don’t have last name and/or first name you can repeat it in both spaces
- enter the Politecnico di Torino Username (FXXXXXX) in step B
- select the program you have been admitted to (Warning: you may not find the English taught program in the Universitaly menu. Please only consider the language of instruction listed in the official academic offer)
- upload the compulsory documents listed here (DOCUMENTS paragraph in this page) and check with the diplomatic-consular Missions of reference if other documents are required.
The Declaration of Value/ CIMEA Statement of Comparability/Verification is not necessary at this stage but the diplomatic-consular Missions may need it for the visa application. To learn about CIMEA services for certification and verification of qualifications and request a Statement of Comparability/Verification please register on diplo-me.eu/cimea.
Please be accurate in filling in the pre-enrolment application so that we can speed up the validation procedure.
DEADLINES TO APPLY FOR PRE-ENROLLMENT FOR A.Y. 2024/25
The deadline to submit your Universitaly application is 31st July 2024 but it is strongly recommended to submit it as soon as you know you have been admitted (also after this date if the admission is granted later)
VALIDATION OF YOUR PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION
Politecnico di Torino will validate your pre-enrolment application ONLY once:
- you passed TIL-I -D -P and you are ENROLLED as stated in the specific CALL FOR APPLICATIONS. In case you will not reach the guaranteed thresholds or own a valid substitute international certification, you will have to wait for the ranking list to be published on September 3rd 2024 (for Engineering, Urban Planning and Design). In this case validations will not be possible before this date and next upgrades of the ranking lists;
- you passed TIL-A and you are ENROLLED according to the specific Call for application
- you uploaded all educational documents and language certificates necessary for the admission as stated in DOCUMENTS section
- you paid the first instalment of tuition fees as per instructions included in ENROLLMENT section of your online application

STUDY VISA REQUEST
Once the pre-enrolment application is validated by PoliTO you will promptly need to apply for a visa for study/university enrollment purposes at the relevant diplomatic-consular representation." Please note that Unitalia Association can assist you in the pre-enrolment and visa application process, you may refer to Uni-Italia Center in your country if available.
Requirements for visa release (such as language requirements) at the Italian Embassy in your country might differ from PoliTO’s requirements. It is your responsibility to comply with both the Embassy and PoliTO’s requirements.
In case your study visa is denied, you cannot complete the enrolment procedure at Politecnico di Torino.
- the pre-enrollment application is the first step for the issuing of study visa type-D.
- the “Confirmation of eligibility letter” given by Politecnico does not replace in any case the official pre-enrolment procedure which must be done only through the UNIVERSITALY portal
- the preliminary acceptance by the university does not confer any right to obtain a visa
- the subsequent pre-enrolment phases will be completed at the Diplomatic-consular missions for the purpose of obtaining the visa

To access Bachelor of Science courses you need:
1) a secondary high school diploma (level 4 EQF) got after at least 12 years of schooling

VALIDATION OF YOUR PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION

Once the validation is done, you will receive a notification by Universitaly. Moreover, you will be able to check the date of validation in the MAIN section of your PoliTO application as well. For those reasons, we kindly ask you not to send tickets for information about the validation of your pre-enrolment.
STUDY VISA REQUEST
Once the pre-enrolment application is validated by PoliTO you should promptly arrange for a visa application for study purposes at the diplomatic-consular Missions of reference in your country of residence (part IV https://www.studiare-in-italia.it/studentistranieri/ English version available soon). This visa is necessary to enter Italy and complete the enrolment procedure. Please note that Unitalia Association can assist you in the pre-enrolment and visa application process, you may refer to Uni-Italia Center in your country if available.

WARNING

- For the a.y. 2023/24 Architecture admission test will be held online.
For the above mentioned reasons, it's very important to fill in carefully the PERSONAL INFORMATION section of your application and enter correctly your CITIZENSHIP and PERMANENT ADDRESS.
In case of dual citizenship, where one citizenship is Italian or of another EU country, you must follow the rules applied to EU/Equivalent applicants (see point 2 above).
It's your responsibility to submit complete and accurate applications. NB: sono esonerati dal presentare la dichiarazione di valore o l’attestato di comparabilità i possessori di Baccellierato Internazionale (IB) ottenuto presso una delle scuole presenti nell’Allegato 2 delle “Procedure per l'ingresso, il soggiorno, l'immatricolazione degli studenti internazionali e il relativo riconoscimento dei titoli, per i corsi della formazione superiore in Italia".
TRADUZIONE E LEGALIZZAZIONE DEI DOCUMENTI
Per i documenti da consegnare tradotti in italiano, la traduzione deve essere "ufficiale" ovvero certificata dall’Ambasciata Italiana nel paese che ha rilasciato i documenti oppure “asseverata” presso i tribunali in Italia.
Legalizzazione del diploma di laurea: la legalizzazione non è necessaria se il Paese dove hai conseguito il titolo aderisce alla convenzione dell’Aja (1961). La legalizzazione è sostituita in questo caso dall’Apostille. Non è obbligatorio né far legalizzare il titolo di studio né farvi apporre la Postilla dell’Aja:
- se il tuo titolo è stato rilasciato da uno dei Paesi che hanno firmato la Convenzione Europea di Bruxelles del 25 maggio 1987 (Belgio, Danimarca, Francia, Irlanda).
- se il tuo titolo di studio è stato rilasciato da un’istituzione tedesca; ciò a seguito della Convenzione italo-tedesca sull’esenzione dalla legalizzazione degli atti pubblici.
