Call for ideas: Climate Adaptation @ PoliTO
Through this Call for Ideas, the Politecnico di Torino is reaching out to its community with the aim of implementing climate adaptation actions for its campuses and the community itself. In addition to the mitigation actions already undertaken as part of its decarbonization pathway, it considers it crucial to identify and adopt, as soon as possible, measures for climate adaptation to be applied to its campuses. The effects of climate change are already visible and it is important to anticipate actions that improve and strengthen resilience and the ability to adapt to climate-related risks and natural disasters, as highlighted by target 13.1 of the 2030 Agenda.
The call promotes the collection of ideas from the Politecnico community to address the risks and the changes posed by the climate crisis in our context (e.g. droughts, floods, extreme precipitation, heatwaves, worsened comfort, etc.).
