Politecnico di Torino developed its climate change emissions inventory based on the “GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (2004)”. The main registered emissions were: direct (Scope 1), those coming from purchased and consumed energy (Scope 2), and all other indirect emissions (Scope 3).
All Green Team task forces were involved together with the administrative bodies, in order to select valuable data for all the emissions sources.
The GHG emissions data refers to the years 2019-2022 for the following dimensions:
- Scope 1: Vehicle fleet
- Scope 2: Electricity, Thermal Energy (as district heating source prevails)
- Scope 3: Staff mobility, missions and travels, cloud services, office supplies
