Within the limit of 10 cfu, those who have the role of Course of Study Coordinator may consider the curricular requirement fulfilled with the indication of any constrained teaching; if the number of missing credits is more than 10 cfu, the evaluation will be submitted to the final approval of those who have the role of Coordinator or Vice Coordinator of the Collegio di Design.

Any curricular integrations identified by the evaluator must be filled prior to enrollment in the Master's degree program.
In order to fill the curricular integration, in the event that it is less than or equal to 60 credits, enrollment in the Single course enrolment for unfulfilled curricular requirements for Master's Admissions courses must be made and then attend the courses and take the related exams: this enrollment may include in the teaching load only the courses assigned by the evaluator as a formative deficiency.

Passing the admission test will allow, exclusively for those who have to fill the curricular integration, access also to the academic year following the one for which the admission test was taken (in any case after taking the exams related to the curricular integration).

Certificazione IELTS

For the purposes of obtaining an English language certificate (B2 level)*, reference is made to the table of certificate or exemptions accepted in substitution for the IELTS 5.5.

* For the purposes of admission to Master's Degree courses, Politecnico does not consider the date of conferral of the certificate is not taken, but only the language level.

Having a B2 English language certificates (IELTS 5.5) is a mandatory requirement for admission to all Master's degree programmes.

Cases of exemption

  • IB Diploma (International Baccalaureate https://www.ibo.org/programmes/diploma-programme/) exclusively if the entire course is in English, with the exception of foreign languages;
  • High school diploma from one of the European Schools listed in Annex 2 of the "Procedures for the entry, stay and enrollment of students applying for visas to higher education courses in Italy," exclusively if language 1 (L1) is English;

When you submit your  application, you must enter the data of your English language certificate. If you do not have it, you can still apply for admission but you will have to present an English language certificate before the deadline for online enrolment.

Verification of IELTS certificates
To verify your IELTS certificates please enter the TRF Number present on the certificate, or reported in the communication email of the publication of the results.

Verification of Cambridge certificates

To verify Cambridge certifications, candidates must select the option to share the test result with the Politecnico di Torino on the Cambridge personal page (instructions at the following link: https://support.cambridgeenglish.org/hc/en-gb/articles/360021664771-Sending-your-results-to-a-recognising-organisation-)  and indicate the Candidate's ID number, or, if this is not possible, they must upload the certification or the Statement of Results in the "Attachments" section of Apply.

For TOEFL certification verification, it is necessary for them to indicate the Polytechnic University of Turin via the unique code (C285) during the exam registration phase. In addition, it will be necessary to indicate the Appointment Number. On the Apply@polito platform it is necessary to indicate the Appointment Number. Those who do not indicate through the unique code the Politecnico di Torino will have to attach the scan of the certification to allow for verification.

For all other certifications/exemption cases in the table on the Teaching & Language Center website, it is mandatory to attach the scan of the certificate obtained.

The University also reserves the right to conduct a check on a sample of at least 5 percent of the certificates by requesting the submission of original documentation and also verifying the veracity of such documentation with the Providers.
Given the long waiting time for receipt of the original certification, we recommend obtaining the certification in a timely manner to meet the deadlines.

Please note that English language exams and proficiencies passed at other universities are NOT considered a substitute for the required language certification.

Those who will not be in possession of the language requirement by the deadline for matriculation from the 1st teaching period will be able to enroll in single courses by entering the courses of the 1st semester of the 1st year of the master's degree program for which they have been rated "rejected" due to the lack of the language requirement.

By enrolling in single courses, it will also be possible to take advantage of the IELTS sessions organized by the Teaching & Language Center, which involve payment of a reduced amount compared to that provided by other external bodies.

As soon as the English language proficiency certification is obtained, it will be possible to matriculate for the Master's Degree by March 4, 2024, with ex officio validation of the courses attended/passed. The teachings of the 1st p.d. that were not included at the time of enrollment cannot be supplemented later.

    For the purposes of admission to the Master's Degree Course in Systemic Design, a Commission for the evaluation of personal preparation is set up and appointed by decree of the Rector.

    Applicants with specific learning disability can request adequate support writing a ticket to the staff of the Special Needs Unit that deals with support services to students (https://www.polito.it/ateneo/parita-welfare-e-inclusione/special-needs)..

    If the Evaluation Committee finds that an applicant has to make up for some unfilled academic requirements and he/she passes the admission test, the test result will be valid  until the following academic year.

    All those who have obtained eligibility, whose need for curricular integration has not been identified, and who do not proceed with enrolment or with the advancement of the Master's degree courses in the academic year for which they have applied, will have to re-apply through the Apply procedure and take the admission test again for access in subsequent academic years.

    The results of the admission tests will be published on the Apply@polito personal page of each applicant in the "Evaluation" session..
