Politecnico di Torino, in collaboration with Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CRT, promotes the strengthening of research and innovation to support the development and scientific growth of its academic community through three internal calls: Call for Individual Excellence Research Project, Call for Proposal for Collaborative Research Projects, and Call for Proposal for Tech to Market Projects.
Thanks to the strategic contribution of its partners, the University reinforces its commitment to creating concrete opportunities for young researchers, encouraging innovative and high-impact project initiatives across diverse fields of knowledge.

This initiative is part of the Action Plan 2025–2027 for the implementation of the PoliTOinTransition Strategic Plan, with specific reference to the intervention area Support for Research Project Development, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of applications within the three Pillars of the Horizon Europe programme and fostering greater competitiveness at the European level.

All the calls share the goal of stimulating project development across different disciplinary areas, promoting original, interdisciplinary, and high-impact approaches.

The initiative, funded by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, is aimed at promoting the development of collaborative projects, i.e. in partnership, which, upon completion, can achieve the requirements necessary for submission to the EIC Transition call of Pillar III of the Horizon Europe Program.

The calls were published on April 1, 2025, and a total of 127 proposals were submitted by the deadline of June 3, 2025, distributed as follows:

  • Call for Individual Excellence Research Projects: 74 proposals
  • Call for Proposals for Collaborative Research Projects: 48 proposals
  • Call for Proposals for Tech to Market Projects: 5 proposals

The technical and scientific evaluation was carried out by a committee composed of external members, independent and experienced in the fields of research and innovation addressed by the submitted proposals. The selection process was based on specific evaluation criteria, ensuring transparency and equal treatment.

The final ranking was approved by Rectoral Decree n.1225/2025 of 24 October 2025 and was published on the University Intranet.
