EcoForum for Circular Economy
From December 11th to 13th, the EcoForum for Circular Economy returns, organized by Legambiente Piemonte and Valle d’Aosta. The event brings together experts to discuss, exchange ideas, and explore new perspectives on waste management and circular economy topics.
On Thursday, December 12th, DIATI will host the second day of EcoForum. The morning will begin with an institutional welcome by Francesco Laio, Director of the Department, and will continue with presentations on successful circular economy and WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) facilities. The panel on electronic and electrical waste will feature Silvia Fiore, Full Professor at DIATI-Politecnico di Torino and lecturer of the course Circular Economy and Environmental Sustainability. Following this, there will be the presentation of the regional report on "Recycling Municipalities" and "Waste-Free" communities, along with the awarding of municipalities and consortia that excel in waste-free practices. Additionally, a new award will be introduced to honor virtuous local projects with special mentions.
The event will conclude with a visit to the GeMM | Geo-Mineralogical Museum of Politecnico di Torino, the university's first permanent exhibition, showcasing collections of minerals, rocks, meteorites, and machinery of technical and scientific importance.
