Thermal Imbalances and Inequalities: Fair Interventions to Address Global Warming
Global Warming: Addressing Thermal Imbalances and Inequalities
Global warming lies at the heart of the current climate crisis. It is a phenomenon directly experienced and often endured by plants, animals, and humans—particularly during summer months and especially by those living in urban environments.
Although it impacts the entire planet, global warming does not affect all Earth's inhabitants equally. How can we consider these differences to design fair mitigation and adaptation strategies? Fair, in the sense of appropriate, precise, and well-calibrated, as well as aimed at reducing, if not eliminating, inequalities in opportunities and power dynamics.
And how can we communicate global warming and its unequal impacts effectively to raise public awareness of the changes it demands and foster engagement and participation around fair solutions?
