Photo exhibition "Scatta il clima"

“Shoot the climate" (Scatta il clima) gathers the 30 photographs selected by a technical and popular jury within the framework of the homonymous contest held as part of the initiatives of "Tecnologia diffusa", organized by the Biennale Tecnologia in collaboration with the Green Team of the Polytechnic University of Turin and the Network of Neighborhood Houses of Turin, to capture people's perspectives on the climate crisis, with the aim of raising awareness and documenting the effects of climate change in the city of Turin and on its citizens.

The contest aimed to construct a creative image of the presence of climate change in the city through the eyes (and lenses) of its citizens. In the urban context, indeed, climate change can sometimes go unnoticed. Its appearance is not always that of climatic catastrophes, and to document it, it is necessary to sharpen one's eye, to uncover it in the details, in the practices of everyday life, and in the contradictions of the individuals who inhabit it. Thus, the community became investigators to discover, in the corners of their spaces, the signs of a broad and multifaceted crisis, difficult to grasp in a single all-encompassing glance.

The contest aimed to answer the question "where to find climate change in the urban context of Turin?" and the exhibited photos represent the interpretation of the theme by the citizens of Turin, offering a window into the perception of climate change in the urban environment.

The exhibition is organized within the Sustainable Development Festival promoted by ASviS - the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development, with the patronage of RUS - the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development.
