Water resources and extreme events, including droughts and floods
Tuesday, April 11, 2023 will be held -the first event in the series of events "Water: an increasingly precious resource in a changing world", entitled "Water resources and extreme events, between droughts and floods", organized by the Turin Academy of Sciences.
Abstract

In particular, the water cycle is strongly affected by the changes taking place in recent decades, with a trend toward both more intense precipitation events and more extensive and prolonged droughts. The two lectures will address these crucial topics for our society, illustrating the complex links between climate change and water cycle response."
Introduces and chairs: Marco Mezzalama - Turin Academy of Sciences.
Speakers:
Free admission subject to availability.
