Deputy Head

Mission

In this Department, staff handle the following activities: providing students with a wide range of support services; dealing with the promotion, design, development and course delivery related to the I and II level degree programmes with particular attention to internationalisation, right to education, quality and innovation issues. It supervises the planning and management of changes in teaching timetables and the spaces allocation. It enhances the quality of life of the whole University Community, from reception services, wellbeing and organisation of welfare activities, sport, work-life balance to the concrete/real implementation of equal opportunities. It also manages teaching innovation activities, including training enhancement initiatives. The Department coordinates the activities of the University Language Centre (CLA) and supports the training actions promoted by the Teaching and Language Laboratory, the School for Aptitude Teaching and the Youth Training and Leadership Academy. As far as the STUDI Department’s responsibilities are concerned, it deals with the organizational aspects of Doctoral programmes by working in synergy with the other divisions/units/offices.

Senior Domain Expert Legal Affairs and External Relations

Senior Domain Expert
She guarantees legal and administrative support to the Department Offices with the following tasks: legal analysis of the regulations of interest to the Department and support in the drafting and revision of the regulations under the Department responsibility due to regulatory and internal organisational changes; verification of the impact on the administrative and accounting activity of the University Offices of the issued legislation of direct relevance to the University; supervision of privacy, anti-corruption and transparency activities, access to documents and civic access; supervision of the process of managing debt positions and debt collection of student contributions; support for the drafting and revision of legal documents such as memoranda of understanding, agreements and conventions with external parties and supervision of the activities of the Disciplinary Commission and the coordination with the Student Ombudsman.

The Staff Unit is in charge of defining the timetable scheduling activity and computer laboratory activities; exams and graduation sessions, in collaboration with the person in charge of Lecture Timetables Planning for the Collegi of the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes, with the Course Catalogue and Quality Assurance of Degree Programmes Unit; and the classroom logistics. It also collaborates with the Student Administrative Services and Registrar Division to define the academic calendar.
