Mission

The Department’s objective is meeting the need to support increasingly both individual professors and research teams by facilitating PoliTo research activities development, the integration of research, innovation and education, the sharing of knowledge and its impact on the economy and society. The staff in this Department are in charge of the promotion of strategies for research and innovation, and contribute to the creation of an environment favorable to the attraction of funding and qualified researchers, to career development, to mobility of PhD candidates and researchers, as well as to talent attraction, in accordance with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers. The Department acts as an activation engine for collaboration opportunities with companies, by stimulating and directing the demand of companies and local authorities, as well as the exploitation and protection of research results. The Department promotes design in research, seizing opportunities nationally and internationally, interacting with funding bodies and research actors, ensuring effective management.The Department integrates the activities of the PoliTO Master School. It supports and ensures the proper implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan in connection with the University departments and offices concerned.

She supports the RIMIN Department on issues related to technology transfer and coordinates the activities of the Corporate Relations and Valorisation of Research Division with the RIMIN Department.

Administration and Budget Staff Unit

Head of Staff Unit

The Unit supports the Executive and the Department’s Divisions staff in secretarial activities and meeting planning; it works on the drafting of Department’s documents which have to be submitted to the University Bodies, acting as a liaison between the Department and the Support to the University Bodies Division. Staff in this Unit support the Executive in coordinating and managing the Department’s activities, including the University Committee for Research, Technology Transfer and Services to the Community (CARTT) as well as the CODAU Working Group, where the Executive is the contact person for Research at national level. Staff in this Unit are responsible for the document management IT system, for staff managing (attendance, overtime, training), for goods and services purchasing and for logistics and working environment aspects.

The Staff Unit supports the Executive of the Department and the Divisions of the Department in secretarial activities, scheduling meetings, contributing to the coordination and processing of the drafting of Department documents which have to be submitted to the University Bodies and representing a liaison between the Department and the Collective Bodies. It assists the Executive of the Department in the coordination and management activities of the University Committee for Research, Technology Transfer and Services to the CommUnity (CARTT) as well as the CODAU Working Group for which the Executive of the Department is the contact person for Research at a national level. It is in charge of computerized protocol management, of personnel (attendance detection, overtime, training), of goods and services purchase, of logistics and of working environment-related aspects.
