Mission

The PhD Programmes Hub aims at supporting the University Bodies and the Districts in the PhD Programmes’ development, by enhancing and strengthening the synergies between research and education. The PhD Programmes Hub fosters the PhD Programmes attractiveness of the relations with external bodies, the internationalization and the access to external funding opportunities at national and international level in connection with PROSIQ Department. Through the continuous optimization of processes, the staff in this Hub supervise and coordinate the necessary activities for the establishment, setting up, management and quality assurance of the PhD programmes and the calls for admission. With the aim of increasing integration and enhancement of competences, some activities will be managed in collaboration with the STUDI and RIMIN Departments, with which the PhD Programmes Hub liaises on an ongoing basis. The Hub guarantees a close connection and interchange with the Districts by providing the necessary advice and support. The Hub reports hierarchically to the Director-General, supported by the RIMIN Department for general services (budget, staff attendance management, etc.), as well as for the promotional activities linked to PhD programmes and PhD candidates related to RIMIN Departments’ activities. The Hub relates with the Director -General with particular reference to the STUDI Department for the aspects connected to PhD candidates’ life both as a student and as a researcher.

She organizes campaigns for the promotion of PoliTO PhD Programmes’ course catalogue offer in liaison with the support of the Relations with Companies Unit and with the support of the Communication, Identity and Valorisation Hub. It works in liaison with the PhD Programmes’ Collegi and the PhD School’s bodies to promote the PhD Programmes’ course catalogue offer identifying formats and the appropriate mix of communication initiatives.She liaises with the MultiMedia Hub in providing the necessary requirements for developing multimedia content with promotional value.

She manages the Quality Assurance procedures of PhD programmes, and liaises with the Academic Department Districts and the PhD Programmes’ Collegi for drafting of the self-assessment documents, as well as for the evaluation/inspection activities for national and international accreditations. She collaborates with the PQA, the CPD and the PROSIQ Department.
