The National Research Division acquires the rules and mechanisms of competitive funding programmes at national, regional and structural fund level. The Division works in synergy with departmental Offices, the offices in staff/departments involved, funding bodies (e.g. Ministry, Piedmont Region) and initiative coordinators.The Division is structured to coordinate and manage (including from a financial point of view) the entire life cycle of projects of great importance and/or high complexity, enhancing the strengths of research at the University and also promoting interdisciplinary research in collaboration with the Departmental Districts and/or other offices in staff/departments. The Division offers consulting services for the resolution of issues related to project management and also coordinates the implementation of strategic University-funded projects, such as large-scale initiatives. In summary, the Division, promotes national, regional and structural fund financing opportunities, in line with the University's priorities and the guidelines of the Governance and Departmental Districts, and in collaboration with the Research Policy Unit, stimulating internal participation in calls for proposals through programme analysis and project design support, and fostering networks of potential public and private partners for the establishment of project consortia.It directly manages highly complex or strategic projects for the University, from analysing funding opportunities to preparing proposals, building partnerships and operational, administrative and financial management.It supports the Departmental Districts in the operational management of projects, organising reviews of financial and administrative progress, sharing critical issues and plans consistent with programme guidelines, and defining processes and tools to support project management, shared with and for the Departmental Districts.The Division includes the Domain Expert in Funding of Research Projects of Relevant National Interest (PRIN), which is responsible for ensuring the strategic, administrative and operational oversight of projects funded under the Research Programmes of National Interest (PRIN)."
