From Campus to the Amazon: university students at COP30
COP30, which will be held from 10 to 21 November 2025 in Belém in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon, represents a crucial moment in the global fight against the climate crisis. During this conference countries will be called upon to renew their commitments under the Paris Agreement and to concretely define the climate finance mechanism established during the previous COP29 in Baku.
The association Viração&Jangada, in collaboration with the Provincial Agency for Environmental Protection of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Italian Climate Network and the Young Ambassadors Society, promote the initiative “From Campus to the Amazon: university students at COP30”, offering students from Italian universities the opportunity to approach the themes of international climate diplomacy.
The initiative offers a training programme in Italian to deepen the global climate crisis and the crucial role of civil society in UN climate negotiations.
The initiative includes 3 meetings:

- 2 online training sessions lasting 1 hour and a half each, Monday 27 October 2025 at 6 pm and Monday 3 November 2025 at 6 pm
- Monday 17 November 2025 at 6 pm, connected live from Brazil with a delegation of experts and young Italians attending COP30. They will report on the latest developments of the climate conference and answer questions in real time.
