Quality, Evaluation and Valorisation of Research and Knowledge Division

The Division supervises support activities for core quality assurance processes at both national and international levels, supporting the activities of the Quality Assurance Unit in coordination with the Governing Bodies and the domain-specific Offices. In this context, it provides technical and operational support to the activities of the Evaluation Unit, including those related to the specific role of the Independent Evaluation Body (OIV) and to any audit committees for reviews related to designated mission activities.The Division directly supervises the entire process related to the evaluation of research quality and the enhancement of scientific output. In this regard, it collaborates with the ARIA Department for the management of the Research Catalog “IRIS IR” in matters related to evaluation, as well as with the Study Center for Open Science in implementing the “Open Access” Policy for aspects linked to research evaluation and related analyses.The Division coordinates and manages the process connected to the mapping of Knowledge Valorization (Third Mission/Social Impact) in collaboration with the relevant administrative units, also coordinating the network of Departmental Districts' Domain Experts and managing the IRIS-RM archive. In this area, the Division directly coordinates the entire process related to evaluating the quality of Knowledge Valorization (Third Mission/Social Impact), both internally and externally (VQR).The Division also handles thematic strategic analyses to support the decision-making processes of University Governance and departmental Offices.

The Unit coordinates all quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with the directives of ANVUR and international accreditation agencies. The Unit also manages the flow of information among internal bodies regarding specific topics, directly providing technical and specialized support.In particular, the Unit: provides technical and operational support to the activities of the Evaluation Unit, including those related to the specific role of the Independent Evaluation Body (OIV); provides technical and operational support to the Quality Assurance Unit in developing the quality assurance system; liaises with Quality Representatives by area of activity within the various Departmental Districts' Offices; manages relations with national and international accreditation bodies on quality matters, in coordination with the STUDI Department for internal management with the Degree Program Boards, and with RIMIN for accreditation of research Offices; supervises the implementation of the institutional survey policy, supporting the PQA (Internal Quality Assurance Unit) in its coordinating role and directly handling the development and analysis of survey results of institutional interest for the University, in collaboration with the Senior Domain Expert in Integrated Programming.
