Collaborative and Multi-disciplinary Research Planning Division

The Division provides proactive support and policy advising for collaborative, national and international research in line with SDGs, European Commission priorities, PNRR and Smart Specialisation. It is in charge of combining the directions of funding bodies with the strategic priorities of the University, by enhancing their strengths and by promoting interdisciplinary research. Staff in this Division coordinate the processes of mapping and scouting research activities and their matching with funding opportunities, are in charge of proposal design and review by providing advice on rules, evaluation criteria, partner search, activity and budget planning, governance rules. They interact with funding bodies and support participation in European thematic and institutional partnerships. The Division promotes collaboration between research and administrative support staff (Research Manager and Administrator) according to national and international good practice.

Domain Expert
She is in charge of the relations with the Hub set up in Brussels to enhance the University's competences in European programmes, according to strategies linked to the European Research Area and to national (PNR and PNR) and regional policies.She promotes Polito participation in European and international partnership networks, by liaising with spokepersons of the bodies, organisations and companies located in Brussels.She collaborates with all units/divisions of the RIMIN Department and with the STUDI Departments, as well.

Grant Unit for Digital Transition

Head of Unit

The Unit is in charge of the activities related to European, national and regional programmes that aim to promote digital transition in specific thematic areas such as ICT, Mobility, Health. Space and Security. It reviews and writes Horizon Europe proposals coordinated by the University and supervises all design phases of the project proposals in response to competitive calls. The Unit coordinates the participation in European Partnerships and is in charge of relations with Innovation Clusters.

The Unit is in charge of the activities related to European, national and regional programmes that aim to foster the ecological transition in specific thematic areas such as Energy, Climate, Agrifood and SSH. It carries out support activities in the design phase for the revision and writing of proposals in response to competitive calls in the concerned topics with particular reference to the calls of the 2nd pillar of Horizon Europe, the Missions, the Life programme, ministerial calls, etc.
