Executive

Mission

The Department coordinates activities related to internationalisation policies that cut across the University’s missions, in relation to their strategic importance. It also raises awareness among the various University components regarding the adoption of international standards, promoting the full integration of the international dimension into the University’s strategic and operational planning. The Department ensures the development of relationships and agreements with foreign universities, the management of partnerships and strategic networks, the development of international inter-university cooperation projects, international mobility programs, and the management of incoming and outgoing international mobility for students and staff.The Deparment supports the University Governance in designing new international projects/initiatives, including from a Science Diplomacy perspective, in coordination with other University Departments and Offices. Specifically, the Department : supervises and manages the activities necessary for implementing outgoing and incoming international mobility for students, faculty, and technical-administrative staff within the main EU, national, and University programmes; handles institutional international relations, with particular attention to the negotiation of international agreements, the international delegations welcome, and the management of participation in University Networks and Alliances; supports international cooperation efforts through the management of institutionally significant projects and by assisting other University Offices in preparing proposals; implements actions to attract international students, faculty, and staff, and to foster an inclusive, international, and globally recognizable University.

Senior Domain Expert International Relations and Cooperation

She supports the Governance in supervising institutional international relations, also to identify collaboration opportunities. She supervises the design of new international initiatives aimed at fostering collaborations, including within the framework of Science Diplomacy, with particular attention to relations with Ministries and Diplomatic Representations. She manages the projects and international initiatives of the INCAM Department as Program Manager. She supervises actions in the field of development cooperation, in coordination with the INCAM Department and the other University Offices involved in individual initiatives. She supervises the activities of national and international university networks for higher education and the participation of the Politecnico in these networks.

Senior Domain Expert Strategic Support for Internationalisation Processes

Senior Domain Expert
He works in close collaboration with the Executive of the Department, facilitating organisational processes and integration between strategic and operational levels, with a view to ensuring consistency, effectiveness and continuity in internationalisation policies. The main responsibilities are: supporting the Executive of the Department in the planning, coordination and development of internationalisation initiatives; providing technical and strategic support and facilitating internal organisational processes, thereby contributing to the achievement of institutional objectives; facilitating coordination between the administrative and academic offices involved in internationalisation activities; supporting the Executive of the Department, in the collection, analysis and systematisation of data and information useful for the planning and evaluation of internationalisation policies.

Budget and Management Staff Unit

The Staff Unit provides cross-functional support to the Divisions and the INCAM Department for the following activities.In the area of procurement and budget: planning, management, and monitoring of the Department's budget, with the support of various Divisions, including reference to the budget connected to Program and Project Management activities at the international level; accounting and administrative records under the Department's responsibility; coordination of financial reporting activities and support for auditing activities for funded initiatives; planning and management of the procurement needs for goods and Divisions; management of procurement procedures in collaboration with the relevant Divisions and the AGACON Office; monitoring of payment processing operations related to purchases.In the administrative and institutional domain the Staff Unit is in charge of: management of aspects related to the international delegation welcome; management of general secretarial services and documentation activities; management of logistics and safety needs; coordination of personnel management within Department; management of the digital protocol system; organizational support to Department in the review process of practices to be submitted to Collegial Bodies; coordination of the Cluster Network and support to the Domain Expert in Networks.
