The Doctoral School offers the possibility to earn a double Ph.D. degree (co-tutelle thesis outgoing). Our Ph.D. candidates have the chance to work on their doctoral thesis partially at Politecnico di Torino and partially at a foreign university, under the guidance of a Supervisor from each university.

Candidates will spend no less than 12 months at Politecnico. Establishing a co-tutelle agreement must comply with a standard procedure.

Candidates will be able to earn credits attending courses at the host university, but the Academic Board of Politecnico must verify the equivalence of these courses with the third-level courses offered by our university.

In order to be admitted to the final oral defence, Ph.D. candidates must obtain a positive evaluation from the Academic Board. The doctoral thesis must be written in English and defended at Politecnico di Torino. The Examination Board will be made up of faculty members from both universities.
